On Monday I drove down to visit Jen and Dave's cool little corner in San Diego.  The relaxed, quirky vibe of this town fit their personalities perfectly, and we had a good time walking around their stomping grounds.

Shooting a fellow photographer is always a little intimidating, but Jen made it really easy.  It felt like we were just hanging out and chatting about equipment (and usually when I talk about that with other people, their eyes just glaze over).  Jen loves capturing people (and dogs!) as naturally as possible, which is totally my style as well.  And like many photographers (including yours truly), she's not fond of being in front of the camera.  But I think Jen and Dave did a great job. :)  Below is a personal favorite of mine, a shot of a shot at one of their local watering holes.

With such gorgeous spots near you, it's not too hard to understand why Jen and Dave chose to shoot around their area.

I am very much looking forward to shooting their wedding next year in Mexico.  Can we say destination wedding? :)
