Jackie and I first met when I started my very first job fresh out of college at an architectural firm in Irvine.  She is a smart, talented, gorgeous fashionista with a big old heart.  She was always the first to share her snacks and lend a sympathetic ear, and I can't tell you how glad I am that she finally moved to Los Angeles so that we can hang out some more.  Did I also tell you that she can kick my butt in gym?  Yes she can.  She always inspires me to try a little harder and to be a little bit better. :)

In honor of little Isaac's six months of precious life, I did another another family photoshoot for their cute little family.  There's something that's really amazing about being able to capture the unscripted moments of a family.  The activities may be planned, but the touches, looks, kisses, and hugs definitely tell me that Isaac is one lucky baby.

Here are a few pictures from their session.

Saturday was quite the scorcher.  So when the park didn't fully pan out, some time in the pool buttered him right up.

Yuto is a recent fashion school grad, and wanted to photograph some pieces from his most recent collection.  So we battled traffic and took a few shots in afternoon at Topanga Canyon.  Here are a few photos from the shoot:

I know that Rachel didn't mean to laugh for this one, some people in the restaurant above us were taking pictures of us taking pictures, but I caught it anyway. :)

A few days ago I shot a boudoir session, which she graciously allowed me to share!  I know not everyone wants to look at a boudoir session, so to see all the pictures, please go here, and enter in the name of the slideshow: M_boudoir.

The special thing about these sessions is that it incorporates so many personal touches, and since it's for her groom's gift on their wedding day, it was all about him (lucky him!).  She wore the jerseys of his favorite teams (even though her school was a rival!) and her glasses, which she hates but he is apparently a fan of.  Now that's sweet. :)

A couple days ago I met with lovely bride-to-be Yeri, to do a bridal photoshoot at her old stomping grounds.  She was adventurous and sweet throughout our entire shoot, so not only did we get some lovely photos but we also had a lot of fun.  I must say, I have been really lucky with the people I work with!

We also got to chatting, and it turns out she had been to some places that I am keen to see (like Angkor Wat and several other places in asia).  Apparently her job is not only rewarding and altruistic, but it also allows her to travel occasionally!  Can we say dream job? :)

Her sister Sarah was also along for the ride, for which I was really thankful.  She was absolutely vital in helping preserve Yeri's gorgeous dress for her wedding day and also for posing tips.  Plus she made Yeri laugh, which is always a plus.

How many brides are willing to sit here with their wedding dress before their wedding?  I'd say very few.  But she sat and smiled (almost) the whole way through.

Sarah did an amazing job with Yeri's hair and makeup.

I love the splash of color from Yeri's red shoes.

That shoot was a lot of fun.  If this portrait session is any indicator, Yeri is going to make a gorgeous bride.  :)

Phoebe, thank you again for these beautiful pictures! I had an incredible time working with you. I was so nervous in the beginning, but you were able to get me relaxed and take these amazing photos. I appreciated your professionalism, your friendliness, and the length you went to get the perfect shot. You have a special eye for unique backgrounds and gorgeous photo opportunities, and my friends all say that the photos look like the belong in a magazine! Thanks again!
