It was a hot day in the Gardens of the World, but June and Todd didn't let the heat stop them from laughing all during their engagement session.  This adorable couple has had a bit of a whirlwind romance, but when you spend time with them it feels like they've known each other for years.  :)














Their first date was in a Coffee Bean, so it was fitting that they revisit that for their engagement session.

I absolutely love this relaxed vintage session with Mikael and Sofie.  They are an adorable couple, who were really playful in front of the camera.  Plus it doesn't hurt that we were in a beautiful area of Agoura hills.

Chris and Jana laugh a lot, which of course made me laugh a lot.  And if ya'll know a little bit about photography, it's really hard to shoot and laugh at the same  time.  But we managed. :)  I met this really cute couple through our mutual friend Diana, and I got to know a little bit about them over milk tea while they wiped the floor with me in a game of pool.  Regardless, they are quite fun and I was very glad for even a brief opportunity to get to hang out with them. 

They wanted to shoot their engagement at Crescent Bay park in Laguna beach, which is where Jana's parents were married.  I am pretty sure that when Jana's parents were here they didn't have these irascible two in tow.  Buster and Noah were running into the surf and were so excited over a new place and for a brief shining moment of doggie freedom (before Diana caught them).  It made shooting a little challenging, but loads of fun. :)

Inquisitive Noah kept eyeing me almost the whole shoot.  So cute.

It was definitely not what I had in mind when I told Chris and Jana to head over towards the life guard tower.  But they definitely made it their own, typical Chris and Jana-style humor. :)

Jana also brought some old albums and we re-created a few images from her parents' wedding.  

Ron and Aileen met at work.  Ron asked her out and Aileen said she didn't date people that she worked with. In about a week, Ron quit his job and started working elsewhere.  Though slightly more complicated than that (but not by much), it's one of those cute stories that make you smile.  It's definitely not hard to see the connection between these two.  They are very cute together, and we had a lot of fun trotting all over Los Angeles.  I love their style and their playfulness. :)

I met up with Helen and Jeff in one of my favorite cities, San Francisco.  Helen first contacted me last year, even though their wedding is not until September of this year.  Amazing planning, right?  I wish I had been that on top of everything for my wedding.  Rain was off and on the whole weekend, but amazingly cleared up just in time for their engagement.  Helen and Jeff met while attending University of San Francisco, so it was fitting that we shot their engagement there.  Plus it doesn't hurt that there are some nice hidden spaces known by these two savvy USF grads.
