Or so it felt all during the month of December. I traveled up to San Francisco two out of four weekends that month for an engagement session and a wedding. And every time I travel up there I always have a new appreciation for SF.
There is nothing quite as nice as a sunny day in San Francisco, especially when you throw in a ferry ride.
It is amazing to see the small town mentality that still pervades Sausalito. And despite the fact that it was remarkably chilly, the only thing we were craving was ice cream.
This reminds me of all the houseboats we saw in Amsterdam.
The quintessential view of the Golden Gate bridge from the
Marin headlands. It was a bit more challenging to reach with public transportation, but the view is always breathtaking. We literally had ten minutes before we had to race back to catch the last ferry.
Speaking of the lovely, talented ladies at Grey Likes Weddings, I was honored to get a little blog love from them for a few of the weddings this year. You can check out the features here and here.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Congrats on getting some love from the blogs.
Sincerely,
Your biggest fan

(11.28.10)History is everywhere in Rome. We were fortunate enough to spend a brief
three days there a few months ago, and catch a glimpse of this amazing city.
At the steps of Santa Maria del Popolo
The Vatican museum is covered in art from floor to ceiling,
crammed full of things I had only seen in art history books.
St. Peter's basilica is rather awe-inspiring to look at from the floor, but it was even more amazing to view the 5pm mass from the dome. We were on our way to the cupola, which affords one of the best views of Rome (and trust me, there are a lot).
the Rome pictures are beautifully detailed and gorgeous.
(11.17.10)There will be lots of great things in store for the blog,
but the busyness of the moment means that I haven't updated as much as I'd
like. I will be out of the office in Mexico
to shoot Gisela and Jay's intimate cliffside wedding and I can't be more
excited. Be back soon!
In the meantime, here's an image of a secluded beach we found the last time we were in Mexico.
An "Up" themed bridal shower with good friends is a wonderful way to spend a
Sunday afternoon.
